Jewelry: Flatware
Utensils and boxes were not items made by the Navajo and Zuni for their
own use, but they show some of the best craftmanship of any silverwork.
Flatware was usually produced on commission, and the artists receiving
the order were normally the best available to the trader. Nearly all of
the older flatware is simple yet elegant in design and execution, and
appeals to a great variety of collectors who may not be interested in
jewelry.
