blossoms, nothing represents the culture of the Southwest Indians like
their necklaces. Men and women alike counted their necklaces as their
most treasured possessions. The necklaces here represent the best of these

Top quality old Navajo squash blossom necklace with an unusual naja, c. 1900-1910. Wonderful ingot silver naja, beads and blossoms. Straight length 27 1/2", naja measures 2 1/2" across. $on request (N 1705)

Pueblo necklace with coins and trade beads, c. 1920s. Nickels all predate 1905. Very unusual naja, with a center drop reminiscent of a wolf's head. Collected at Jemez Pueblo (where there is a wolf clan). Naja measures 2 1/8" across, hanging length 14 1/2". $2900 (N 1730)

A fabulous silver, coral and turquoise necklace by Zuni smith Dan Simplicio, c. 1945-50. A textbook example of his nugget style, with very good turquoise and oxblood coral. Straight length 20", center plate measures 2 7/8" across. $1950 (N PG/1)

A truly incredible Zuni mosaic inlay squash blossom necklace, c. 1945. An incredibly rare and well-made piece, with a stunning naja done in asymmetrical inlay.
