Ex-Geraldine Howard collection. Begay (the son of Kenneth) was equally skilled as a silversmith and a goldsmith, and always used the highest quality materials, including the coral here. Matches the earrings and necklace on the site very well. Hallmarked. Inside size 5 3/8” with a 7/8” opening (can be adjusted), width 1”, weight 85 grams. Harvey Begay (Navajo, 1938-2009) was the son of Kenneth Begay, and one of the finest silver- and goldsmiths of his generation. Especially well-known for his use of coral and diamonds in designs that were at once traditional and modern.
