Ex-Geraldine Howard collection—very nicely made, and easy to wear as either a pin or a pendant. Leekya Deyuse (Zuni, 1889-1966) was commonly known as Leekya. Also known as "Old Man Leekya" and the grand master of Zuni fetish carving, his carvings have a subtlety and softness of line that distinguishes them from the work of others. He also did very good inlay work early in his career. Never used any sort of hallmark, but his work is quite distinctive.

Talk about a statement piece! This incredible hallmarked bolo has very precise detail, and a very pretty stone. Not to mention the great feather tips. Eagle measures 3 5/8” wide, total weight 103 grams.

One of the best Lee Yazzie rings we have seen, 14k gold with an absolutely top-grade Lone Mountain turquoise. Turquoise like this is completely unavailable today at almost any price. Size 7 ½ (can be sized), face measures 11/16” high, weight 15 grams.

We don’t know exactly what kind of turquoise is in this hallmarked pendant, but it is stunningly beautiful, and the silverwork surrounding it is superb, as you would expect from Lovato. Comes with a silver tipped double leather thong. Pendant measures 4” high including bail, total weight 114 grams.

A very fine hallmarked box, set with a serpentine Leekya bear with turquoise eyes. A rare and wonderful combination—Patania Sr. was known to buy work from Zuni artists for his boxes, but a full Leekya fetish on one of his boxes is a rare treasure. Note the special silver rings made for the bear’s feet. Box measures 4 1/8” x 3 1/8”, bear measures 2” long, total weight 194 grams.

Extremely rare and beautiful, these turquoise tabs are wrapped in 22k gold. Probably originally from Isleta Pueblo. Comes with 18k modern findings, but would also be beautiful worn as a necklace on a leather thong. 1 3/16” long, total weight 5 grams/pair.

Historically, the taboo against men seeing their mother-in-law meant that the woman would carry a small bell, so that she could ring it when she entered a hogan or a room and her son-in-law could leave. Here is a very nice one, complete with silver chain.
