This bracelet came from Austria, purchased in the very late 1930s to early 1940s. The gram weight is 90.65 grams of 18k yellow gold, which includes the weight of the stones. The total gold weight with the weight of the stones removed is 89.326 grams of 18k yellow gold. It is hallmarked in two places on the clasp on the distal ends, with a unknown maker’s mark. The diamonds are Old European and Transition cuts with no culet to small-medium culets. VS2 average Clarity and G average Color, with bruted girdles, as was typical of the time. The total diamond weight from direct measurement in the mount is 1.62 ctw. The rubies are moderately included as average Clarity (Corundum is Type 11, per GIA classification system.) and are Red Purple, Purple Red in Color (GIA classification color chart) with a total weight of 5.00 ctw. The weight of all the gemstones combined is 6.62 ctw.
